Metal Detecting on Beaches ? A Different Way of Having Fun - Hobbies

Each one of us loves the beach because of its seashore and its tremendous landscape. Aside from this scenic view, treasures are also hiding in the sand and we all know that. In fact, throughout the year, people go to the beach to spend quality time with their families, not caring that much even if they lose some of their coins or metals as long as they enjoy the moment. There are three various levels carried out in metal detecting on beaches: gridding in the beach surroundings, random search in the beach and saltwater hunting.

Metal detecting using the first method is generally quite efficient. The key here is to focus on a specific area only at a time. For example, he can target metal detecting in a 10 square meter spot for three days and later extend his searching for another days for an additional area. If the person will concentrate on a particular area, he will have enough time to dig the hidden treasures buried in the sand.

Applying this method in a well-traveled area will definitely yield good results since you are assured of getting something valuable lost by the people. Your feet will serve as a tool to mark the sand and later trace it. Make sure that you will place a reliable mark on the sand for easy identification when you come back. This will also minimize the possibility of doing metal detecting twice in exactly the same area.

Plunging your feet in the water is tempting if you are in the beach. What is even more exciting is going farther in the water to search for metals. Metal detecting by saltwater hunting is a bit harder but provides the most effective result given that people go to the water to swim and sometimes they neglect their valuables. Wide array of metals and precious jewelry are present in the water. Those things accidentally lost by the people who went to the beach to swim. You can find earrings, necklaces, even rings and other items.

The other method, random search of metal detecting on beaches seldom pays off. The chances of getting coins, jewelry or something of value are minimal. Spending a day or two in the entire beach to search for metals is necessary to implement this method. This is time consuming and provides slim possibility of getting a metal. However, people still pursue this method despite its disadvantages because it is full of excitement because of two things: metal detecting and enjoying pleasure of the scenery of the beach at the same time.

Metal detecting in the beach call for a water resistant detector; although a bit expensive but still can produce relevant rewards. Doing this recreational activity is sometimes frustrating because after spending a whole day in the beach there's the possibility that you find nothing. Nevertheless, do not worry for the wasted time as long as you enjoy the day in the beach, looking for precious metals and floating under the sun.
